Misiu
Systems Reaches Tentative Agreement with rPartner, a
Division of Pacific West Association of REALTORS®, For
Distribution of the RealGuardÔ
Personal Security Alarm System to Its Members
The
RealGuardÔ
Personal Security Alarm System Provides Added Security for
Real Estate Professionals.
Bothell,
Washington— November 8th, 2003 —
Misiu
Systems has reached tentative contractual agreement with
rPartner, a division of Pacific West Association of REALTORSÒ
(P.W.R.), of Orange, California. The agreement provides
P.W.R. with product discounts for the distribution of the
RealGuardÔ
Personal Security Alarm System (patent pending) to P.W.R.’s
more than 12,000 members. The mobile alarm system is
designed to be a deterrent to a would-be attacker and makes
real estate professionals feel less vulnerable and more
confident when showing a home or working at the office
after-hours.
“We are
pleased about this proposed partnership with Misiu Systems
and about bringing the RealGuardÔ solution to our membership,” said Patti Theaker, 2003
President of Pacific West Association of REALTORSÒ.
“Safety and personal security are our top priorities; we
strive to offer the latest in technology as an option to our
real estate professionals to enhance their working
environment,” said Theaker.
“We are
delighted to be working with such a professional
organization like Pacific West Association of REALTORSÒ
that both recognizes and embraces the latest personal
security technology,” said Todd Hodgen, Founder and CEO of
Misiu Systems, which developed the RealGuardÔ
Personal Security Alarm System. “Misiu Systems’ goal with
RealGuardÔ
is to increase real estate agents’ safety and overall
awareness by providing personal security like no other.”
The
RealGuardÔ Personal Security Alarm System which retails for $320
is comprised of three unique components: the Personal
Transmitter
¾
worn or carried by the real estate agent; the Home
Receiver
¾
placed in a listed home or one open for showing; and the
Auto Transceiver
¾
installed in an agent’s car (in actuality; their virtual
office).
When an
agent perceives trouble he/she presses the button on the
Personal Transmitter which simultaneously communicates
to the Home Receiver and the Auto Transceiver
¾
both begin emitting loud piercing sounds that scare away any
potential or threatening individual and alerts those nearby,
as well.
RealGuard
has the capability of networking and communicating with
other RealGuardÔ
Home Receiver devices because of its proprietary
technology. A Real estate agent with the RealGuardÔ
Personal Security System has the ability to activate the
RealGuardÔ
Home Receiver placed in any home he/she might visit
¾ even if the device has been put there by another
agent. The system’s interoperability allows agents to work
together creating a network of security alarms within a
community.
The
RealGuardÔ
Personal Security Alarm System by Misiu Systems is
exclusively sold to the real estate industry through
Multiple Listing Service Boards and Real Estate Associations
and will be available 1st Quarter 2004. The company offers
an incentive program called the Partnership Plan that
provides discount incentives to the boards and associations
to encourage distribution of RealGuardÔ
to their members.
Misiu
Systems will demonstrate the RealGuardÔ Personal Security Alarm System at the 2003
REALTORS® Conference & Expo, today through November 10th,
2003, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, at
Exhibit Booth #3947.
